FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

I was raised on FROMM'S CHICKEN A LA VEG. I am also given RAW HAMBURGER twice a day. About the size of an egg. Leave my dish of dry food out at all times because I like to snack on it, along with some water, either from the kettle, bottled,or filtered. If you want to give me a treat you can give me some half-and-half cream, milk if its higher than 2 %. If you decide to change my food do it gradually over a couple of weeks. That way my system can adjust to the change. The best thing to do with the raw ground beef is to get some fresh. Line your ice cube tray with Saran Wrap and fill the hole with the ground beef. Let freeze and then put into a freezer bag. Then just take out 2 lumps a day and thaw and give it to me. My digestive system was not designed to digest corn, wheat or soy products. I don't have the enzymes to digest it. So giving me some raw ground beef is more natural for me to eat and keeps my tummy from get upsets.

HAZARDS TO BE WARY OF

When not watching me, please confine me to small quarters so that I will not have a chance to get into trouble, by getting lost, or a chance to hide, or to get frightened. Keep me safely indoors if your not going to be around with me, so that I don't have a greater chance of catching parasites, diseases, or of getting stolen. Please don't allow me on your shoulder unless you have a good hold on me. A fall or jump from such a height can result in broken bones or concussion. Keep clothes dryers, and refrigerator doors closed at all times, if you find it open check to make sure I am not asleep or playing inside. Plastic bags can smother me; doors can kill or maim me, so be careful. Another thing to watch out for are plants, because they are amusing and are fun to play with, poisonous and make me sick. Keep benadryl on hand, just in case i get stung or something and have an allergic reaction. Like toads and bees for example.

GROOMING

Clip my nails every two or 3 weeks using regular nail clippers. To do this press down between my toes and my nails will extend. Cut them at the point where they start to bend down, but avoid cutting into the quick. If my eyes need care, a clean, soft, damp cloth will work to wipe my eyes. If you see me squinting with one or both of my eyes, a couple drops of regular VISINE or CLEAR EYES will help to flush out any irritants, and make me feel more comfortable. Combing should be done on a weekly basis. A good steel comb and a deshedding brush is all that is needed. You may bath me if you feel I need it, or if you want to make me prettier. You can use a good shampoo(not baby shampoo) or DAWN dish soap. Then rinse with warm water until water runs clear.,Then after you towel me dry, let me go and watch ME be silly.

WHEN YOU BRING ME HOME

Put me in a small room (for example the bathroom) with my litter box, and put me in it, let me wander around the room. I have scent pads in my feet, so it is important that when I am used to the room to let me explore out of it, so I can follow my scent and find my way back to the litter box. Remember don't carry me somewhere and expect me to know where my litter box is. If you keep this in mind I shouldn't have a problem. If at any time you feel the need to discipline me, a clap of the hand and a loud NO will get my attention. You may have to do it 3 times. You could also use a spray bottle, so I don't relate the reaction to you but the thing I did wrong, and try to remember that unless you punish me right away I won't understand what I did wrong.

MOST OF ALL REMEMBER THAT ALL I ASK FOR IS FOOD, ATTENTION, A CLEAN LITTER BOX AND LOVE
